SERVICES AT OUR FACILITIES
CSS has two facilities in Australia, located at Helidon, QLD and Ingleburn, NSW.
The Ingleburn facility has small explosives handling, storage and manufacturing capabilities. Products and services are available at Ingleburn.
The Helidon facility is a licensed Explosives Factory and was officially opened in May 2007. It has been purpose built for the manufacturing, handling and storage of explosives. With a range of explosives storage magazines, process and mixing rooms and test areas on site, the Helidon facility is unique in design and through the services CSS offer at this site. The Helidon facility has become a recommended facility by the QLD Explosives Inspectorate.
Located in the heart of the Helidon Explosives Precinct and neighboring the likes of Orica, Dyno Nobel and the Helidon Government Explosives Reserve, CSS - Helidon is positioned within a 1 hour drive from Brisbane Airport and the soon to be opened (Nov 2014) Brisbane West Airport at Wellcamp.
Along with manufacturing explosives and pyrotechnics, CSS utilises the Helidon facility for the undertaking of Special Projects on behalf of customers or regulatory authorities. Special Projects include remediation work to explosives products or packaging to conform with the Australian Explosives Code, inspection or testing of explosive products or any other task that requires a licensed explosives factory to undertake the task.
Alternatively the Helidon facility offers buildings or areas of the site for hourly, daily or weekly hire, where customers need a licensed explosives factory to complete specific tasks, such as the remediation of explosives products or packaging to conform to the Australian Explosives Code, inspection or testing explosives products or for training purposes.
